Bought a Toyota Rav auto a few years ago, only leaving feedback now as I’ve been living in France, but now back in UK. I bought a Rav from them with some inheritence from my mom, and as soon as I drove it a mile away from the garage the engine management light came on, took it back and they had closed on the gate. So tried to phone them it went to answerphone. So drove it back to Cornwall. Phoned them the next day told them about the light on the dash he said for me to fill the tank up and will go out, I told him it was the main management light and he hung up on me. He wouldnt answer any of my calls and I wrote to him giving him 14 days to reply after that I’d be taken further action! He phoned me asking for me to bring it back and he would fix it. He had the Rav for two weeks, he phoned to tell me he had fixed it all had put new coil pack and new spark plugs. I had to hire a car in the mean time so drove the hire car there hubby drove the Rav back, to which we got 5 miles out of Torquay and hubby pulled over, the engine management light came back on. We drove back to him and yet again the gates closed he had clised at 2 o clock? We went back to Cornwall. We contacted them, left messages nothing. My husband phoned using his mobile and he answered so hubby asked him for our money back as it was a faulty car as the fault had not been fixed. He tokd us to ‘go away, do one! We took the Rav to our lical Toyota garage to check it out and they saif the spark plugs were the wrong size, so Yoyota replaced them, the engine at some point had been replace this was not mentioned in the sale, there was a list of problems and Toyota told us to take it back. We was stuck with a Rav that kept cutting out, cost us £1,000 to fix. Everytime I drove the Rav I had a fear of it cutting out. I haven’t the time to have taken this garage to court, I sold the Rav on, and I bought myself a BMW X3 3 litre diesel. From a proper garage! If you want a reliable car, buy from another garage! These give other garages a bad name!
